Study says certain yoga poses can negatively impact Osteoporosis patients
Yoga is known to provide many physical and mental health benefits, but it turns out, certain yoga poses may do more harm than good for people with Osteoporosis.
Researchers with the Mayo Clinic looked at the health records of patients with Osteoporosis who had been treated for pain related to yoga.
They were able to identify 12 poses that either caused or worsened their symptoms.
The most common involved a pose with extreme flexing or extending of the spine.
Despite the findings, experts say Osteoporosis patients can still do yoga but should avoid those particular types of poses.
