Stepping On Scale Can Help You Shed Pounds

Looking to shed some pounds? New research finds people who stepped on a scale on a daily basis were more likely to lose weight than those who did not. The study followed more than a thousand adults over the course of 12 months. Researchers found those who never weighed themselves or only did so once a week "did not lose weight in the following year." But those who stepped on the scale six or seven days a week "had significant weight loss," shedding about 1.7% of their body weight.
