LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - It may feel and look a bit like spring, but the official first day is March 20.
And with spring can come bad weather - rain and thunder storms and tornadoes
On Wednesday, March 27 at 1 p.m. a statewide tornado drill is scheduled.
This is a good time for families, schools, and businesses to practice what to do during a severe weather alert.
It's also a good reminder to create a plan and know how to get warnings for bad weather.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN on March 27 at 1 p.m.:
All of the outdoor warning sirens in Ingham County will be activated at that time.
That means you will hear the usual siren that goes off on Saturdays at 1 - on that Wednesday.
And if you do use that afternoon to practice your severe weather plan, post a picture of your "test drill" on Facebook or Twitter using #MITORNADODRILL.
