Spartans win season opener against Utah State

The Spartan football team opens up its season at home with a win over Utah State.

The game was too close for comfort for many fans of the green and white.

News 10's Seth Wells was there covering the game.

The Aggies led in the first quarter.

MSU defense was able to keep Utah State at bay during the second and the offense went on their own scoring drive, making it 21-14 going into half time.

The third quarter had the Aggies score more than the Spartans. The score was then 28-21.

But in the fourth, the Spartans were able to secure the win, 38-31.

The Spartans travel to Phoenix to take on Arizona State a week from Saturday.
