The Michigan State Spartan football team is losing an explosive offensive weapon.
Running back L.J. Scott announced he will enter the NFL draft after he plays in the Redbox Bowl on New Year's Eve day.
Scott posted a lengthy statement on Twitter.
In it, he says: "After a ton of thought, prayer, and careful consideration, I have decided to enter the 2019 NFL draft as a senior."
The senior from Ohio ranked 12th on the Spartans all-time rushing list.
He has one more year of eligibility with the Spartans.
