Southbound Pennsylvania Ave. closed for road construction

The City of Lansing Public Service Department announced that Pennsylvania Avenue from the intersection of Jolly Road to Cavanaugh Road will be opened to through traffic in the northbound direction and closed to through traffic in the southbound direction beginning Thursday, June 21 after 8:30 a.m. for road construction.

The posted detour route beginning June 21 for the project is to take Southbound Pennsylvania Avenue, go East on Cavanaugh Road, south on Aurelius Road, then west on Jolly Road, to return to Pennsylvania Avenue.

The closure is expected to last approximately three weeks.

Access to businesses adjacent to the construction zone will be maintained throughout the project.

Northbound Pennsylvania will remain open during this phase of construction.

Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes and expect delays.
