Snyder speaks on his legacy

DETROIT, Mich. (WILX) - What will Governor Rick Snyder's legacy be?

The governor discussed his two terms in office Friday during an exit interview at the Detroit Economic Club.

Governor Snyder spent most of the Q and A session touting his economic achievements.

He says Michigan went from number 50 out of 50 when he started to a top ten state.

"When I became governor the question is where is there a job in Michigan. We didn't have jobs. Now the question is, has changed to say how do I get the skills, how do I get the training, to take that good well paying job that's out there today," said Snyder.

Governor Snyder also encouraged governor-elect Gretchen Whitmer to find common ground with the republican-controlled legislature when she assumes office.
