In the wake of widespread cuts by General Motors at various U.S. automotive plants, Sen. Bernie Sanders is pressuring President Donald Trump to back up his threats with actions.
The Vermont Senator and Presidential candidate has been on a tour of the rust belt the past few days.
Yesterday he was in northeast Ohio -- near the Chevrolet plant that G.M. closed this year.
Sanders called on President Trump to take concrete actions to make a point to G.M.
Said Sanders, "Today I say to Donald Trump, you are a really tough guy, you were prepared to shut down the federal government."
He added, "Well lets see how tough you are. Tell General Motors today, no more federal contracts."
Sanders is speaking in Pennsylvania today.
He visited Michigan on Saturday.
