Reward for information on those involved with "drop kicking" cat
The Ingham County Animal Control & Shelter (ICACS) is offering a reward for any information leading to the identity of the people responsible in a recent animal cruelty case.
The ICACS was alerted to the act through a cruelty tip email.
The act involved
posted to social media of a person "drop kicking" a cat in a parking lot. The animal was later found dead.
They believe the act happened at the LaRoy Froh Apartment Complex in the 2400 block of Reo Road in Lansing.
The body of the cat was found in a nearby dumpster Wednesday night.
A veterinarian is doing a necropsy confirm the cause of the death was indeed the kick.
“We will not tolerate this in our community, "Ingham County Animal Control Director, Jodi LeBombard said. "This was an absolute horrific act of animal cruelty. We are asking the public to please help us identify this individual so we can seek justice for this cat.”
