Black Friday 2017: Retailers release ads even earlier this year, many stores open on Thanksgiving

(WILX)- Forget waiting for the big paper on Thanksgiving morning with all the doorbusters for Black Friday.

Retailers are releasing their ads even earlier. Store owners are hoping to boost sales by posting the ads two weeks early. Retailers including Target, Meijer, Kohl's, and Best Buy have all released their Black Friday deals.

The National Retail Federation predicts a 4 percent increase in overall consumer holiday spending in comparison to 2016.

Online shopper remains popular with shoppers. A survery by Deloitte finds consumers are expected to spend more online than in brick-and-mortar stores.

Many of the doorbuster deals will drop before Black Friday in the days leading up to Thanksgiving. When it comes to shopping on Thanksgiving, many retailers are also planning to open again on that day.

Target announces it will open at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving and close at midnight. Target will reopen again at 6 a.m. on Black Friday.

Meijer says it will have deals happening all week leading up to Black Friday. Meijer will also have sales on Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday and Saturday.

Best Buy will open at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving. J.C. Penney announces it will open at 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving, an hour earlier than in years past. Kohl's doorbuster deals will be available online beginning Monday, November 20. The Black Friday deals in Kohl's stores will begin at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving.
