Energy recommendations by federal program, Energy-Star, have created a stir on the internet.

Energy-Star recommends people keep their homes between 78 and 85 degrees, even during the hot summer months.

The energy saving program says you should keep your thermostat set at 85 degrees when you're not home, and 82 degrees when you're asleep.

However, the National Sleep Foundation says a room somewhere around 65 degrees is the best for sleep.
