Preschool teachers not making the grade in science

By  |

Pre-school teachers are slacking when it comes to teaching science.
That's according to a new study out of Michigan State University.
Researchers followed 67 Head Start classrooms for children ages three to five.
Only 42 percent of teachers in the study taught a science lesson three to four times a week.
In comparison--- 99 percent of instructors taught reading or writing on a regular basis.
Researchers believe teachers struggle with science because of a lack of quality training.
