Poll: Whitmer holds double-digit lead over Schuette

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) -- We're exactly two weeks from the November 6th election.

And a new poll shows Democratic gubernatorial candidate Gretchen Whitmer has a double-digit lead over her Republican opponent and current Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette.

The MRG Michigan poll surveyed 600 likely Michigan voters last week.

It showed 50 percent said they would vote for Whitmer and 36 percent said they would vote for Schuette.

2 percent said they would vote for Libertarian gubernatorial candidate Bill Gelineau. 4 percent said they would vote for someone else and 7 percent said they were undecided.
