UPDATE: Police indicate body found in river is that of missing woman

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) Lansing Police say "initial indication" is the body found in Moores River is that of the missing woman, Shalyn Manson.

LPD had been searching for Manson, who was reported missing from the Moores Park neighborhood, since Nov. 14.

Shalyn Manson, 45, was last seen on Moores River Drive, near Hess Avenue, early Wednesday morning.

On Friday, the Capital Area Dive Team began searching the river and shoreline.

They did locate and recover a body of a deceased female from the river near the 800 block of Moores River.

"Initial indication is that the body recovered today is that of missing person Shalyn Manson," reported Robert Merritt, PID for Lansing Police.

He said an autopsy will be completed to determine positive identification and cause of death.
