(WILX) -- Las Vegas police have sent a search warrant out for the DNA of a Portuguese soccer player.
Star player Cristiano Ronaldo is accused of rape.
Police sent the warrant Thursday requesting the DNA sample as part of the investigation.
A woman says in a lawsuit that Ronaldo raped her in a Vegas hotel room in 2009.
She also claims Ronaldo and his camp coerced her into signing a nondisclosure agreement and paid $375,000 for her silence.
The incident was reported soon after it occurred, but Ronaldo's name and the hotel location were not provided.
The case was closed and later reopened.
Ronaldo has denied the accusations and says the incident was consensual.
