LANSING, MI (WILX) - Police are on the scene investigating a shooting at the Secretary of State's office in Lansing.
Lansing Police got the call for "shots fired" just after 11 a.m. on Monday morning.
The shooting occurred at 3315 E. Michigan Avenue at a Secretary of State branch.
NEWS 10 was on the scene and spoke with the Lansing Police.
They told NEWS 10 that someone fired a gun from the outside, with the bullet hitting a window of the business.
After shots were fired, people were shuffled to the back to be kept safe until police arrived.
Police were interviewing witnesses and if you were there and left, they are hoping you'll give them a call and tell them anything you saw.
Witnesses said a man was standing outside of the business and was shot by someone in a vehicle. Police believe the two know each other.
The suspect and the person shot at left the scene before the cops arrived.
No one was injured and police said that this is uncommon for the area.
The Secretary of State's office is currently closed, and may not reopen for the day.
