Phone scam targeting BWL customers

There's another scam happening that you need to be aware of.

The Board of Water and Light (BWL) is warning customers about people pretending to be them and demanding money.

The company has been getting reports of scammers calling customers and threatening to cut their service it they don't make a payment over the phone.

The BWL wants to remind its customers that they will never have customer service reps call and ask for credit card information over the phone.

The scam has been reported to Lansing police. If you receive such a call, report it to the police.
