LANSING, MI (WILX) - There's a new animal added to the pack at the Potter Park Zoo, and he's a beauty.

A new snow leopard name Taza has moved into the park. He is 5 years old and arrived from the Lincoln Park Zoo in May.

Since his arrival, he has been getting comfortable in his space and with his new caretakers.

“We knew he was a shy cat, based on the information shared by his previous zoo,” said Pat Fountain, Animal Care Supervisor, “so it was important that the zookeepers established a good relationship with him right from the start.

Visitors can see Taza in the snow leopard exhibit.

Fountain says that Potter Park Zoo is the best place for Taza right now and they are excited to have him.

The zoo is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
