Operation Backpack a huge success

This is what operation backpack is all about.

Today -- backpacks and school supplies were handed out to kids at the St. Vincent Catholic Charities home.

News 10's Andy Provenzano was there to help.

We thank you for your donations over the last several weeks.

It really makes a difference -- for kids to get a fresh start -- to a fresh new school year.

More than 9-hundred backpacks were collected.

In addition to the kids that received them today -- they'll go to foster children, refugees and other students in need.
