Opening statements began Thursday in the trial of a man charged with Terrorism in Flint.

He's accused of stabbing a Flint Airport Officer last June.

Prosecutors say he was willing to die if he could get that officer's gun and attack others at the airport.

Prosecutors add, he saw himself as a martyr who "wanted to kill Americans until he himself was killed."

The officer that was stabbed, survived the attack.
