Obesity rates in America have hit an all-time high.

That's according to the 16th annual State of Obesity Report from the Trust for America's Health.

It shows nine states had adult obesity rates above 35% last year.

Obesity levels ranged from nearly 40% in Mississippi and West Virginia to 23% in Colorado.

The report calls for sugary drink taxes, expanded nutrition support programs, and a focus on physical activity to combat the epidemic.
