COLUMBUS, Ohio (WILX) - Urban Meyer is set to retire after the Rose Bowl Game on January 1st, according to The Ohio State Athletics Department.
Meyer, who led the buckeyes to a one loss season, including a Big Ten East and Big Ten Championship, has battled health issues in recent years.
Ohio State Athletic Director Gene Smith says Offensive Coordinator Ryan Day will be named Meyers replacement.
He will be the teams 25th head coach.
That will be announced at a press conference on Tuesday at 2 PM.
Meyer will coach the Buckeyes one final game, in the Rose Bowl, on January 1st against Washington.
