MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WILX) -- No one was hurt when a car crashed into a convenience store in Meridian Township Wednesday night.

The Meridian Township Police Department responded to the accident at the 7-Eleven store at Okemos and Jolly Roads around 7:25PM Wednesday.

The Meridian Township Police Department says the driver was pulling into a parking space when the gas pedal was hit instead of the brake, causing the car to crash through a glass door.

No customers were inside and only one employee was on duty at the time of the incident.
