New study links sleep apnea to Alzheimer's Disease

Sleep apnea may increase the risk of Alzheimer's Disease.

Researchers from New York University followed over 200 healthy adults.

They found brain plaques associated with Alzheimer's Disease increase over time in people with sleep apnea.

Experts say treatments for apnea, like CPAP or dental appliances may help delay dementia in many older adults.
