There are some big changes happening at Lansing Capital Regional International Airport, starting with a new restaurant called Capital Brewport.
If you think you can get away with coming to your flight late, the CEO hopes you'll reconsider. As a passenger administration urges you to possibly come early to check out the new restaurant and watch the flights take off.
Capital Brewport will be the only restaurant and bar past security that serves liquor. That same space was home to an older restaurant more than 30 years ago.
It will sit right in the middle of the airport surrounded by windows for plane watching.
Officals said Lansing has one of the oldest terminals in Michigan and it's about time for some upgrades.
"We wanted to provide a more comfortable space. But I think more importantly we want to allow people to experience what Lansing has and the character of our region," said Wayne Sieloff-CEO &President Capital Region Airport Authority
Some other airport changes include nursing rooms, renovated gates and a new coffee shop.
That restaurant officially opens to the public on June 10, 2019.
