The Ingham County Prosecutor's Office has added a four-legged worker to their team.

Kory, a Golden Retriever, will be sworn in as a court support dog on Wednesday.

Kory's handler, Jessica Carls, is a victim's rights specialist.

Kory will be available to provide emotional support to crime victims.

Any expenses for Kory will be covered by Mick S. Grewal, Sr. and David S. Mittleman of Grewal Law PLLC.

Kory's training was with the Canine Advocacy Program (CAP), which was developed to provide advocacy services to child victims, utilizing a highly trained dog to alleviate the anxiety associated with being involved in the criminal justice system.

Kory's swearing-in will be by Judge Richard J. Garcia, Ingham County Chief Circuit and Probate Judge at the Veteran's Memorial Courthouse in Lansing at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
