National Pancake Day benefits sick kids

WILX Pancake lovers -- Tuesday is your day to cash in on the buttermilk goodness.

Free pancakes are being served up at the IHOP restaurants in East Lansing and Jackson for National Pancake Day.

This is the 14Th year in a row IHOP has offered free hot cakes to help raise money for local sick kids.

IHOP is looking to raise $4 million dollars across the country for Children Miracle Network hospitals, including Sparrow Hospital.

Customers are asked to leave a donation in exchange for the free hotcakes.

The money raised will go towards life-saving treatments and equipment.

Since 2006, the event has raised nearly 30 million dollars for Children Miracle Network hospitals.

Visit the locations at 2771 East Grand River Avenue in East Lansing and at 1213 North Eisner Street in Jackson between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday.
