Going where no Star Trek symbol has gone before...
One of Starfleet's most recognizable images turns up on a planet surface.
NASA's Mars reconnaissance orbiter spotted a dune in the shape of the famous insignia from "Star Trek".
Researchers managing the high-resolution camera confirming it looks like the iconic logo, but that's only a coincidence.
The space agency says this chevron-shaped dune isn't the only one they've found.
The spot is formed from the interaction of sand dunes, lava and wind.
