On Thursday, September 12, NEWS 10's Mallory Anderson and cast members of "Come From Away," gave beverages to some hardworking folks at MSU.
The day started at the Wharton Center in East Lansing, where Mallory met up with the Modern Woodmen - Lansing and the cast of "Come From Away," to take part in the giveaway.
Kyle Grice from Modern Woodmen said, "It's just fun to get out in the community and put smiles on peoples' faces and see if we can help out in anyway we can."
He added that Modern Woodmen is a fraternal company that is about helping the community.
Stars from "Come From Away," which is currently playing at The Wharton Center, told Mallory that they wanted to take part in this venture.
"The story of "Come From Away" is all about kindness and generosity so when we had the opportunity to come and do this we were like of course," said Jane Bunting.
And Jenny Ashman said, "It really represents the spirit of the show and it felt like such a great way to connect with the community, especially because we get to travel around and see so many places."
The group then visited the MSU Police Department and passed out refreshments to say 'thank you' for all they do for us. And they brought out their canine pups to delight the group.
Next they surprised bus drivers, students and faculty at the CATA bus hub on campus.
