UPDATE - Two men successfully rescued from grain silo

UPDATE - 3:30PM

The Jackson County Sheriff's Department has confirmed that two men who were stuck in a grain silo on a farm in Parma Township have successfully been rescued.

The men entered the silo early Wednesday afternoon to try and fix it after the silo had become clogged with soybeans.

The men were taken to Allegiance Henry Ford after they were rescued from the structure. There is no immediate information available as to their conditions.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Department confirms that multiple emergency crews are responding to a farm at the corner of Callaghan and Michigan in Parma Township.

A 911 call came in around 1:15 PM on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 to report that one or possibly two men were stuck in a grain silo. The men were reported to be submerged in grain up to their armpits.

Multiple fire departments have responded and a technical rescue team is en route from Lansing, at the request of fire departments at the scene.
