LCC: Sawdust to blame for small fire on campus

Lansing Community College has told News 10 what caused the fire at the school earlier on Wednesday.
It happened around 11 a.m. at LCC's Academic & Office Facility (AOF) building on 315 North Grand Avenue in downtown Lansing.
Classes had to be rescheduled.
The college says that sawdust got into the external dust collector from the woodworking shop area, smoldered, and caused smoke to fill a portion of the building.
A LCC staff member used a fire extinguisher to put out any flames that were present.
When Lansing fire arrived they checked the building and cleared it to be reopened.
The school says that air monitoring will be performed before students and employees are allowed to return to the building.
Students who use that building will be notified as to the situation on Thursday.
No one was hurt.
