Mid-michigan pools, splash pads opening for summer season

With mother nature finally in the mood for summer, it won't be long until local pools and splash pads open for the season.

That includes the East Lansing Family Aquatic Center, which opens on Saturday, June 2.

Some places will be open for the Memorial Day holiday weekend. That includes the Hawk Island Splash Pad and the Splash Pad at Cascades Park in Jackson.

You'll have to wait a few more weeks for the Moores Park Pool and Hunter Park Pool and Splash Pad in Lansing. Those won't open until Monday, June 11.

The Nixon Water Park in Jackson will open a week after that, on June 18.
