HASLETT, Mich. (WILX) - In response to community interest in their successful solar project, the Haslett Community Church decided to share how they did it.

The church held a solar open house and forum Sunday at their location on 1427 Haslett Road.

Topics included how to plan and complete a solar energy installation along with the benefits of solar energy and climate change.

"We’ve been really pleased with the interest that's been shown from folks out beyond us and that really was the emphasis for this event today,” said Kurt Kirchoff, pastor at Haslett Community Church.

Community groups, contractors and those who worked on the project also gave out information and answered questions.
