LANSING, MI (WILX) - The number of people killed in traffic accidents in Michigan is at a three-year low.

Michigan State Police report that 974 people died on the roads in 2018.
That's down five percent from 2017. It is also the lowest total since 2015.

The number of injuries and crashes also decreased.

Police say there's still a long way to go to make our roads safer despite the decrease.
