Michigan students argue case in "moot court"

LANSING, MI (WILX) -- Michigan high school students are getting the opportunity to argue cases in the Michigan Supreme Court courtroom this week.

High school students from Albion, Ann Arbor, Canton, Dimondale, East Lansing, Fenton, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Marshall, Mason, Mount Pleasant, Okemos,Warren and more.

The students are participating in the Michigan Supreme Court Learning Center "Exploring Careers in the Law" moot court program.

Throughout the week of July 15 through July 19, participants will hear presentation from legal professionals and members of the judiciary.

The students also got the opportunity to argue cases and render opinion. Oral arguments in the Michigan Supreme Court took place on Friday, July 19.
