Michigan man faces several charges after crashing into VFW post

A former assistant high school track coach has been indicted on suspicion of five felony sex crimes involving a child (MGN).

NORWAY, MI (WILX) -- A Michigan man is facing several charges Tuesday night after crashing his car through a Veterans of Foreign Wars post.

The incident happened Sunday night in Norway, which is located in the Upper Peninsula.

Police say the 22-year-old is charged with possession of a controlled substance, operating while intoxicated and driving reckless.

A 23-year-old woman, who was in the car, remains hospitalized Tuesday night.

No one was inside of the post at the time of the crash.
