Many older adults don't store their guns safely.
Researchers surveyed more than 44-hundred seniors who owned at least one firearm.
Nearly a quarter stored their weapons unlocked and loaded, even if they suffered from memory loss or depression.
Experts say these findings are concerning, because 91% of all gun deaths among older adults are self-inflicted.
The study was led by researchers at the University of Washington and published in 'Annals of Internal Medicine'.
