MSU student dies on spring break in Puerto Rico

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - A local college student has died while on Spring Break.

Yuze “Frank” Wang, a 24-year-old student originally from China, died on March 1 after jumping off a waterfall in Puerto Rico.

According to Michigan State University the student drowned but the death is under investigation.

The school says that Wang died after jumping from a popular tourist attraction in the Gozalandia hiking area in western Puerto Rico. And that he was exploring the remote region with a woman at the time.

Wang was a senior studying supply chain management in East Lansing, according to 'The State News.'

A memorial service for Wang will be held Monday at the MSU Alumni Chapel, at 5 p.m., according to university officials.
