EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Taking care of horses can be expensive.
The Michigan State University Polo Club had a charity fundraiser polo match at the MSU Pavilion Saturday.
The money made from tickets and merchandise will go to feed and care for the horses. Organizers say the team has to raise money itself because it is not funded by the university.
"This is one of our biggest fund raisers for the year," said coach Sarah Knapp. "The club owns 14 horses and they are responsible for the feed and the care of those 14 horses."
In between the match, there were games for kids. The MSU polo team has been around for 20 years.
