(WILX) -- A plea for votes came up short in a contest involving Michigan State Police.

MSP finished second in a best looking cruiser contest run by the American Association of State Troopers. The contest involves patrol cars from all 50 states.

MSP thanked everyone for their votes in a Facebook post.

Agencies submitted photos of their vehicles that were voted on by the public.

Nebraska beat out MSP and will have its cruiser displayed on the cover of the 2020 best looking cruiser calendar.
