Low carb diets may be the best way to lose weight
A new study suggests a low carb diet may be the key to sustained weight loss.
Researchers in Massachusetts studied 164 adults who were placed on high, moderate or low carb diets for 20 weeks.
Those who were on the low-carb diet ended up burning more calories than those on the high-carb diet.
If there is no change in calorie intake researchers say low carb dieters could lose 20 pounds over 3 years.
Researchers say while their study did not measure hunger previous studies have suggested low-carb diets also decreases hunger.
