LANSING, MI. (WILX) 'The Voice' returns tonight for season 13, but this year is a little different for the people of Lansing as they will have local social media sensation Lucas Holliday to cheer for.
You may him know him as the "singing cashier" from the Dollar General, but tonight he will take his first step in becoming a household name during the auditions portion of the show.
WILX New's 10's Marcus Dash got a chance to go to Everett High School where Holliday attended as a student and speak to a former teacher to learn more.
Holliday isn't the only local talent trying out for The Voice. Mason singer Rebecca Brunner will also appear on the blind auditions.
Two seasons ago Joshua Davis, from Traverse City, was the third place runner up and is currently on a nation wide tour to support his latest album.
