LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - An art exhibit kicks off the holidays on Friday in Lansing.
The Michigan Made exhibition is from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Lansing Art Gallery on Washington Square.
The work shown will be from emerging and established artists.
Some of the artwork is considered fine art, while other items showcased will include jewelry, pottery, or small gifts.
And in East Lansing, a 2-day long art festival is honoring women in the arts.
This is the 33rd year for the event which takes place at the Edgewood United Church in East Lansing.
The artist market includes over 50 vendors, music performances, pottery, workshops, and more.
The goal behind the festival is to recognize and support women in creative pursuits.
