Lion's great Johnson opening mega marijuana facility

LANSING, MI (WILX) - Detroit Lions great Calvin Johnson is opening a mega medical marijuana facility in Bay County.

He has co-ownership in a company called "Primative" with former Lion Rob Simms.

This company will own the operation.

Both men are waiting for state approval before growing operations can begin in a vacant building in Kawkawlin Township.

Johnson retired from the NFL at age 30 in 2016.

He has stated that he used cannibas to help his ankles feel better when he competed on ABC Network's "Dancing with the Stars."
