LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Yard waste bags have been piling up along some Lansing curbs because the collection schedule was behind - but, on Monday, Mayor Schor's office said that their crews have collected all yard waste that was placed at the curbside by December 1, 2019.

On Friday, Lansing Public Service Director Andy Kilpatrick. told NEWS 10, "We're several days behind right now, but generally this is when we are finishing up yard waste. So, the end of November is the last scheduled week for yard waste collection and generally we're collecting through the end of this week."
Residents in South Lansing told us that their bags have been packed and ready to go since before Thanksgiving.
City officials said that yard collection was a few days off schedule due to staffing and weather issues.
"The yard collection is the same day as the trash collection and we go basically from north to south," Kilpatrick said.
If you miss yard collection, you can drop your waste off at Granger or Hammond Farms.
Bags left on the curb, should not weigh more than 30 pounds.
You can also leave small sticks up to 4' out for pickup.
The city wants you to contact them if you believe your yard waste collection was missed.
