UPDATE: Lansing Home & Garden Show postponed; Wharton Center cancels upcoming events

The Lansing Home and Garden Show has been postponed due to increasing concerns surrounding the coronavirus, according to a post on the show's website.

The president of Michigan State University has required that all campus events over 100 people be postponed until further notice, according to the website.

"We are devastated at this news as we know how hard we and our exhibitors and landscapers have worked to create an incredible show, but this is an extraordinary situation that requires extraordinary decisions," the post said.

It has not been said at this time when the show will be rescheduled.

In addition, the Wharton Center has also announced that the following events will not be taking place as scheduled:

Drum Tao 2020 – Friday, March 13 (including College Night)

-Dog Man the Musical – Saturday, March 14 and Sunday, March 15

-Act One School Show – Monday, March 23

-Of Equal Place: Isotopes in Motion – Saturday, March 21

-Act One School Show – Thursday, March 19 and Friday, March 20

-Royal Winnipeg Ballet: The Wizard of Oz – Wednesday, March 25

-The Klezmatics – Thursday, March 26

The Wharton Center said those who have purchased tickets from the Wharton Center to any of the above events will get information regarding refunds or rescheduled dates within the next several days. If you have any questions, you are asked to call the ticket office at 517-432-2000.
