LSD teachers getting raise under new contract

Teachers in the Lansing Public School District are getting a raise under a new five year contract.
Teachers will get a 2.5% increase in pay for the upcoming school year.
The contract also includes stipends and financial incentives tied to student achievement.
Starting teachers will earn $40,000 per year.
The raise is part of the district's $156 million budget for the upcoming school year.
