San Antonio (CNN) - Another Democrat has thrown his hat into the ring for the 2020 Presidential race.
Former U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julian Castro officially announced that he would seek the Democratic Presidential nomination.
He made the announcement Saturday at a rally in San Antonio, where he served as mayor.
Castro has long been viewed as a rising star in the Democratic Party and said he has been considering a bid for nearly two years.
He is the only declared Latino candidate in the Democratic field.
