Investigators find cause of deadly casino boat fire

(WILX) -- Investigators say the reason a casino boat caught on fire in Florida earlier this year was because of poor maintenance and the captain's failure to shut down the engine sooner.

That fire that killed one woman and left 14 others hurt.

The incident happened back in January as the shuttle was heading to a casino boat in the Gulf of Mexico.

The report from the National Transportation Safety Board says other problems include a lack of company guidance on engine high-temperature alarms, lack of fire detection in unmanned spaces and insufficient preventive maintenance and crew training.
