Helium shortage across nation

When you think of helium, you probably think of balloons.

But it turns out, a nationwide shortage of helium is affecting more than just birthday parties.

MRIs, semiconductors, rocket engine testing all use the gas.

University of Texas geologists say they've had to wait a month or two for a restock recently, as opposed to just a few days.

The current shortage seems to be attributed to sanctions, lower output from domestic suppliers and distribution.
